TQUK Level 2 Award in Community Care for Children and Infants with Heart Defects or Feeding Issues (RQF)

We know there are is a huge gap in in training and education when it comes to family support. As a training and service provider we pride ourselves in the qualification and service delivery we provide to learners and families.

Many of the people who attend our qualification do so:  

  1. To gain experience for:
    • College or Univeristy access
    • Career progression
    • Diversification

       2. Already have the experience and therefore:

    • Want to offer support to a family in need
    • Want to use the skills they have for the greater good of others
    • Giving back

There may also be other reasons for taking the qualification. Therefore we have made it possible for people who to access our specialist course in different ways which will suit their curcumstances. 


Volunteer Pathway - (Lagan's Foundation internal certification only) - Cost - Free

This route will allow a learner to attend the training course and go on to volunteer with the charity. There will be no formal certificate issued and therefore you will not be able to transfer this route in to career progression. 

This route is great for those who want experience  of working with families with young children and would like to give back in their local community.

Certified Pathway - Volunteer - £50 plus 12 months active volunteering for Lagan's Foundation

This route will offer learners the chance to complete the full course, receive work experience for a year and to acquire the full certificate after 12 months of active volunteering for Lagan's Foundation. A small fee of £50 will be required for the certificate.

Certified Pathway - Professional Career - £399.99

This route offers those wanting career progression without having the commitment of volunteering for Lagan's Foundation. 

On satisfactory completion of all of the criteria, a full certificate will be issued to the learner. 

This route is great for those in this area of work but do not hold the special skills or knowledge to confidently care for children who have complex needs. 

This route is suitable for; 

  • Private or Government funded nurseries or day care centres
  • Community care / respite staff
  • Foster carers 
  • Care agency workers
  • Social workers
  • Medics looking to diversify or improve specific knowledge or revalidation or CPD points
