Trustees and Organisers

Our Trustees are passionate about Lagan's Foundation and they all have personal experience relating to Lagan, heart defects (CHD) or feeding difficulties.

Carren Bell

Mum to Ceridwen, Lagan and Lochlyn, Carren started Lagan's Foundation following her very sad passing in 2011. Days, weeks and months of stress, worry and fatigue gave Carren the motivation to get things started. With the assistance of the other Trustees and board members it all became a reality. Carren has designed and delivered Lagan's Foundation home support service since 2012 and has reached out and supported children from Cornwall to Newcastle in their own homes. Carren has developed the formal classroom training with a professional training company and has now been given Ofqual recognition for the training delivered.

Carren also sits on the strategic panel of Bolton CCG for children, maternity and looked after children, SEND, and Bolton Parents and Carers Consortium. And has been invited to work with NHS GM Transformation Unit for future projects and development.

Richard Hunter

Chartered Accountant

Richard has known Carren since 1997 when attending University of Bangor as a undergraduate Accountant. Throughout the three years a strong friendship was created and Richard is Lagans Sister's God father. A firm fixture within the family Richard has a strong understanding of Carren and her aspirations and is keen to be part of a charity with such a clear case of support.

Family life in general is otherwise all consuming with interest in the arts and painting in particular.

Sharon Davis

I became involved with Lagan's after it popped up onto my facebook page. My little girl was diagnosed with a CHD in June 1999. I became a volunteer in October 2012.

My daughter passed away in Jan 2014 so I was lost. Lagan's supported me through this time! In March 2014 Carren was struggling to find someone to take the role of Volunteer Co-ordinator. I jumped at the chance to be more hands on. Then in July 2014 she approached me to be a Trustee. I think as I have been in the position of the families we support AND being a volunteer doing the support I have an insight into what our parents and children need and want from the Charity. I am looking forward to helping drive Lagans forward. There are many more people in need of this unique service
