Trustees and Organisers

Our Trustees are passionate about Lagan's Foundation and they all have personal experience relating to Lagan, heart defects (CHD) or feeding difficulties.

Trustees

Carren Bell

Mum of three, Ceridwen, Lagan and Lochlyn, Carren started Lagan's Foundation following her very sad passing in 2011. Days, weeks and months of stress, worry and fatigue gave Carren the motivation to get things started. With the assistance of the other Trustees and board members it all became a reality.

Richard Hunter

Chartered Accountant

Richard has known Carren since 1997 when attending University of Bangor as a undergraduate Accountant. Throughout the three years a strong friendship was created and Richard is Lagans Sister's God father. A firm fixture within the family Richard has a strong understanding of Carren and her aspirations and is keen to be part of a charity with such a clear case of support.

Personal profile:
I am a keen cyclist and general outdoor activity enthusiast. I commute by cycle most days and have completed Lands End to John O’Groats in 7 days (both ways). Walking with our dog in the Lake District and Wales are favoured non-cycling activities. Family life in general is otherwise all consuming with interest in the arts and painting in particular.

Sharon Davis

I became involved with Lagan's after it popped up onto my facebook page. My little girl was diagnosed with a CHD in June 1999. I became a volunteer in October 2012.

My daughter passed away in Jan 2014 so I was lost. Lagan's supported me through this time! In March 2014 Carren was struggling to find someone to take the role of Volunteer Co-ordinator. I jumped at the chance to be more hands on. Then in July 2014 she approached me to be a Trustee. I think as I have been in the position of the families we support AND being a volunteer doing the support I have an insight into what our parents and children need and want from the Charity. I am looking forward to helping drive Lagans forward. There are many more people in need of this unique service
